NEW MAYOR: We would like to welcome our new Mayor, Jennifer Hogg. Jennifer previously served as Mayor Pro Tem and was appointed to an unexpired term to fill the vacant mayor seat until November of 2024.
NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS: We would like to welcome our newly appointed Council Members Bill Barker & Debbie Kilgore to our Riesel City Council. They were both appointed to unexpired terms to fill the vacancies and will serve until November of 2024.

THE CITY OF RIESEL ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 0.71 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-24.87.
